SATURDAY RESULTS
OREM, Utah – Two top-seven runs from Anett Somogyi and Anna Mate in the 5,000-meter race highlighted California Baptist University's third and final day of the Western Athletic Conference Championships.
Somogyi took fifth place to earn herself a spot on the podium, while Mate crossed the finish line in seventh place on Saturday at Utah Valley. It scored six points for the Lancers and helped them take sixth out of nine teams, with 33 points, despite not fielding a full squad.
Linda Palumbo secured a top-10 finish in the 1500 meter for CBU. The freshman clocked a time of 4:46.38 to finish ninth overall.
