ST. GEORGE – Cali Hoye picked up her fourth-straight double-double for California Baptist University volleyball, as the Lancers renewed their conference rivalry with Dixie State on Monday night.
CBU's comeback bid was halted early, as the Trailblazers took the match in four sets (25-12, 25-20, 23-25, 25-18) in the Burns Arena. Dixie State moves its record to 4-4, 3-4 in the WAC with the win. The Lancers drop to 4-2, 3-2.
Hoye finished with 13 kills and a season-high 14 digs. Cassidy Dennison nearly had a double-double of her own with 10 kills and seven digs. Both of CBU's setters were not far off double-doubles, either, as Leah Pease posted 18 assists and six digs and Hana Okuhara added 15 assists and seven kills.
Paige Johnstone added 13 digs, two aces and three assists from the libero position. The Lancers continued their balance on offense, as four players finished with at least six kills. Christine Graf posted nine kills, two digs and a block, while Sydney Marks had six kills and three digs.
