Women's Golf Moves Up Leaderboard; Loh and Ghanshyani Both Shoot -2 Monday

Boulder City, Nev. - California Baptist University women's golf improved its standing on the leaderboard to seventh place after posting a team score of 292 (+4) during Monday's second round of The Clash at Boulder Creek hosted by Northern Arizona.
CBU entered the day in 10th place, after shooting 299 (+11) in the opening round. The Lancers now have a combined two-round score of 591 (+15) heading into Tuesday's final round.
Nevada widened the gap in the team standings an impressive showing the first couple days with a two-round score of 566 (-10). Rounding out the Top 5 is Long Beach State (576, E), UTEP (577, +1), Seattle U (579, +3), and Cal State Fullerton (586, +10). Boise State is in sixth place at 590 (+14).
Individually, CBU freshman Samantha Dizon entered the day in a tie for fourth place after firing a 70 (-2) on Sunday, but has now moved into a tie at 36th place (149, +5) after posting a 79 (+7) today. Junior Hailey Loh and freshman Damini Law Ghanshyani both registered two-under-par 70s in the second round today. Loh is tied for 20th place (146, +2) and Ghanshyani is tied for 32nd place (148, +4). Senior Sofia Chabon followed up her opening round 75 (+3) with a 76 (+4) today and is now tied for 45th place. Senior Haruka Shintani bounced back with a 76 (+4) today after posting an 83 (+11) in the first round. Junior Esther Lee is competing as an individual and is tied for 92nd place after turning in scorecards of 80 (+8) and 83 (+11).
Yvonne Vinceri of Idaho and Leah John of Nevada remain the co-leaders having matched each other shot-for-shot the first two rounds (139, -5).
The three-day event will conclude with the final round on Tuesday beginning at 8 a.m.
