Chabon Named WAC Golfer of the Month

RIVERSIDE--- Sofia Chabon has been named the TicketSmarter Western Athletic Conference Women's Golfer of the Month for the second time in her career. Chabon carded a first-place finish at the first tournament of the season for the Lancers, kicking off her fifth year with a career-first individual win.
Chabon scored under par every round at the Payne Stewart Memorial, with a four-under (68) mark in the second round. She rounded out the event 8-under at Rivercut Golf Course, a par-72 course. Chabon's low marks led the California Baptist University women's golf team to a third-place finish at their first tournament of the season. She also broke the lowest 54-hole total score record with her final score of 208, a record previously held record by Jocelyn Chee and Erica Wang.
This is the first WAC monthly award of the year for the Lancers and the seventh in program history.
