CBU Volleyball Earns AVCA Team Academic Award

LEXINGTON--- The United States Marine Corps and the American Volleyball Coaches Association announced their USMC/AVCA Team Academic Awards for the 2022-23 season. The award, initiated in the 1992–93 academic year, honors volleyball teams that finished in the top 20% of their respective division in team GPA.
California Baptist University's volleyball team was one of the prestigious award nominees after finishing their academic season with a team GPA of 3.786. CBU was one of 44 universities honored on the list and one of four schools in the Western Athletic Conference. The other WAC nominees included Abilene Christian, Grand Canyon, and Southern Utah.
CBU Volleyball has made the list in back-to-back seasons and earned 11 student-athletes on the fall WAC All-Academic list.
