CBU's 2023 Volleyball Schedule is Unveiled

RIVERSIDE--- The 2023 women's volleyball schedule has been announced for California Baptist University and features several intriguing matchups in conference and non-conference. CBU will compete in four tournaments in their non-conference schedule, two of which occur on the road.

The Santa Clara tournament will serve as the season opener, with the Lancers set to face Cal State Northridge, Jacksonville, and tournament host Santa Clara. CBU will continue on the road to begin their season with a trip to the twin cities to compete in the St. Thomas tournament. The competition includes matches against Milwaukee, St. Thomas, and Montana State.
The home opener for the Lancers is set to take place on September 8th as CBU hosts the CBU-UCR tournament with matches against Nevada and Oregon State.
On the conference side of things, CBU will have eight matches at home and eight on the road over a two-month period. The conference slate features a Texas road trip in early October against the two of the top teams in the WAC from a season ago, Stephen F. Austin and UTRGV. The Lancers will also face UT Arlington on the trip, a team they defeated in 2022 in four sets in Arlington.
The schedule also features a three-match homestand in late October, which they welcome in Utah-based schools. The stretch begins with Utah Valley on October 21st and ends with Southern Utah and Utah Tech on the 26th and 28th, respectively.
The Lancers are scheduled for first serve on Friday, August 25th, on the road against Santa Clara.
