WAC Announces Spring All-Academic List

ARLINGTON--- The Western Athletic Conference released its Spring All-Academic list for 2023 and its freshman/transfer list for the 2022-23 season. California Baptist University finished third in the conference with 102 honorees, trailing only Grand Canyon and Utah Valley. The Lancers posted a department GPA of 3.347, the fifth-straight year that CBU has recorded a cumulative GPA of 3.3 or higher.
Softball led all spring sports for the Lancers with 16 honorees, with baseball trailing right behind with 15 student-athletes. Track and Field also put together another impressive season in the classroom, with 18 total athletes named to the list, 11 from the women's side and seven from the men's. Men and women's golf rounded out the list for CBU, with the men having four of their athletes represented and the women with six.
The WAC also released its freshman and transfer list for all conference sports during the 2022-23 season. CBU's swim and dive teams had 20 athletes represented on the list, with 13 coming from the women's team and seven from the men's. Women's Soccer was the next highest on the list, with seven transfers and freshmen honored.
