
Daniels Jr. Earns Second WAC Player of the Week Award

RIVERSIDE--- For the second time this season, Dominique Daniels Jr. has been named the Western Athletic Conference Player of the Week for California Baptist University.
Daniels Jr. and the Lancers had a lone matchup this past week as they traveled south to face the #23 San Diego State Aztecs at Viejas Arena on Wednesday, December 11. Daniels Jr. scored 22 points in the tight loss while dishing out a team-high six assists. The Aztecs came into the game with one of the best defenses in the country and were ranked #1 in opposing field goal percentage. Daniels Jr. converted eight field goals in the game and helped CBU knock down the most field goals and highest field goal percentage against the Aztecs thus far this season. During the game, Daniels Jr. crossed the 2,000-point milestone adding to his already incredible college career that inlcudes his time at San Bernardino Valley College.
For Daniels Jr., it was his sixth 20+ point performance this season and the third consecutive game he had crossed the mark. He currently leads the conference in points, points per game, and field goals made while also being top 10 in field goal percentage. On the national level, Daniels Jr. is tenth in the NCAA in points per game at 21.7 and is top 30 in both total points and field goals made.
