
Tribble Accepts Position at Georgia after Incredible Six Year Run in Riverside

RIVERSIDE, CA--- After an incredible six-season run in Riverside, Head Coach Adam Tribble of the cross country and track program has accepted a position to return to the Southeastern Conference and his alma mater at the University of Georgia. Tribble was announced as the Head Cross Country Coach and Assistant Distance Coach for the Bulldogs.
During Tribble's tenure at California Baptist University, the Lancers brought home eight Western Athletic Conference Championships (4 Men's, 4 Women's) in Cross-Country season and six WAC Coach of the Year honors. During his time, Tribble has coached 22 individual champions between outdoor and cross-country seasons and has overseen 117 All-WAC honorees. Tribble has undoubtedly left his mark on the program, and under his coaching, 15 new program records have been set.
Tribble led the Lancers through CBU's transition into a full Division I member and brought the Lancers onto the national stage. In 2022, Tribble coached the women's cross-country team to the program's first-ever trip to the National Championship, where they placed 29th. The next season, the men's and women's programs made it to the national level and earned their highest placement at 16th and 17th, respectively.
Tribble has helped represent CBU on the national stage in Outdoor season as well, with eight different athletes earning their way to Regionals and Nationals over the two seasons they have been eligible. Under Tribble's tutelage, the Lancers earned All-American status on four occasions. Most recently, Greta Karinauskaite and Valentin Soca were First and Second Team All-Amercians, respectively, at the 2024 Outdoor Track and Field Championships, and Karinauskiate has twice previously been a First Team All-American doping so in both Cross Country and Outdoor seasons.
Dr. Micah Parker, the Director of Athletics for CBU, has stated "a national search will being immediately. This is one of the top 20 jobs in cross-country/distance coaching. God will provide another great coach that fits our mission."
