CBU Volleyball Announces its 2024 Season Schedule

RIVERSIDE--- The California Baptist volleyball team has announced its 2024 season schedule, with plenty of intriguing matchups and showdowns on the docket.
The Lancers finished 14-14 a season ago with a 7-9 mark in Western Athletic Conference play. Their record earned them a spot in the WAC Tournament in Orem, Utah, where they would eventually fall to eventual champion Grand Canyon in the opening round.
The season will open with a pair of central zone time tournament trips, beginning with the Lipscomb/Belmont Invitational in Nashville, Tennessee. The Lancers will battle both host schools and will have a tilt against newly-minted BIG 12 member Arizona State. The second of the two tournaments will feature a trip to the Hawkeye State to compete in the Hawkeye Invitational. CBU will face Delaware, San Jose State, and Iowa on consecutive days.
The annual CBU/UCR Challenge will serve as the home openers for the Lancers as they welcome in crosstown rival UC Riverside, Nevada, and San Diego State to Van Dyne Gym in mid-September. CBU swept the tournament a season ago, besting UCR, Nevada, and Oregon State for a perfect weekend. The Lancers will close out its non-conference schedule by hosting the WAC/Big West Challenge with matches against Cal State Fullerton and UC Irvine.
In conference play, the Lancers will play home-and-away matches against all eight of its WAC foes. CBU's conference opener will be on home soil as they welcome in the Utah Valley Wolverines on September 26, which will also serve as the team's annual Dale E. & Sarah Ann Fowler Events Center match. The WAC Tournament will be hosted by UT Arlington this season and will take place from November 21-23 at College Park Center in Arlington, Texas.
