VB Preview: CBU Heads to Abilene for Final Match of the Regular Season

RIVERSIDE--- The California Baptist University volleyball team will finalize its 2025 regular season on Thursday evening as it looks to lock in its seeding for the Western Athletic Conference tournament.
The Lancers enter the week with several possibilities for seeding, as they could finish as high as the #4 seed or as low as the #6 seed, depending on the outcomes of this week. CBU is 3-8 in the conference thus far this season, trailing UT Arlington and Abilene Christian in the standings.
Before entering the postseason, the Lancers will have to head out to Texas for a matchup with the Abilene Christian Wildcats, with whom they are currently battling for position in the standings. CBU took the first matchup of the season against the Wildcats in Riverside, defeating them in four sets at Van Dyne Gym. ACU currently sits at 4-6 and will have to face the top-seeded Utah Valley Wolverines on Saturday after they battle the Lancers. CBU's last win in Abilene came in October 2021; however, they hold a 4-3 all-time series edge over ACU and will look to complete the season sweep on Thursday.
