11/28/2025 11:06:00 AM | Men's Basketball
CORVALLIS, OR --- Fresh off their sixth consecutive victory to open the season, the Lancers will now take their talents outside of California, as the road trip fans circled at the start of the season will begin on Saturday. The Lancers will start in Corvallis on Saturday night, as CBU meets up with Oregon State inside the Gil Coliseum.
The Lancers improved to 6-0 on Tuesday with their 76-61 victory against San Diego in the Acrisure Series. The win marks the best start to a season in CBU's Division I era.
To get to win number six, the Lancers had to rely on some new names. Freshman Jordan Muller was the star of the show, totaling 39 minutes in his first collegiate start. Muller scored a career-high 22 points, including a 3-of-6 showing from three-point range.
Guard Jalen Dollar also had a career night in Palm Desert, knocking down three triples to finish with nine points in 18 minutes of action. Martel Williams scored 20 points in the win, with 18 coming in the second half.
The Lancers' next opponent will be the Beavers of Oregon State. This will be the first-ever meeting between the Lancers and Beavers, continuing a trend that has been set through CBU's first seven games. Oregon State marks the fourth first-time opponent for CBU through seven games, and they are one of eight first-time foes CBU will take on in its 12-game non-conference schedule.
CBU's next three games will also be first-time matchups.
The Beavers come into Saturday night with a 3-4 record but have lost their last four games. All four of those losses came away from Corvallis, as the Beavers sit unbeaten inside the Gil Coliseum this year. Dating back to last season, Oregon State is 14-2 in its previous 16 home contests.
Josiah Lake II (12.4 PPG) leads a Beavers squad that is averaging 71.7 PPG. Opponents are scoring 75.1 PPG against the Beavers. Lake II is the only OSU player averaging double-figures. Isiah Sy (9.9 PPG) and Dez White (8.6 PPG) are next in the scoring effort.
Following Saturday's visit to Corvallis, CBU will fly to Boulder to take on Colorado on Monday. The trip then takes CBU to Salt Lake City, where they will play BYU inside the Delta Center on Wednesday. CBU will stay in Salt Lake City to play Utah on December 6.
The Lancers will be back inside the Dale E. and Sarah Ann Fowler Events Center on December 16 when Southern comes to town.
Saturday's game, along with the remaining games of the road trip, will be aired live on ESPN+.
