CBU Battles Snowy Conditions in Arizona

SEDONA, AZ--- The California Baptist women's golf team battled snowy weather and postponed play all weekend to a sixth-place finish at the Red Rocks Invitational hosted by Nothern Arizona University. The first two rounds of the weekend were canceled due to the snow on the course, making the tournament only 18 holes. CBU's best finish came from Samantha Dizon after the junior shot even with par on Sunday morning.
Dizon's 15th-place finish pushed the Lancers to a team finish of sixth place in the field of 19 programs. Damini Law Ghanshyani also tied for 15th after shooting even with par during the lone round, while Lisa Shimmon finished tied for 31st and Pusanisa Ekkantrong tied for 42nd with Burberry Zhang. Diletta Facchini competed individually and finished in 105th.
CBU will gear up for its next tournament at the start of April as they take on the Wyoming Cowgirl Classic in Maricopa, Arizona.
