KANSAS CITY, MO--- The NABC has announced the 2024-25 NABC Division I All-District Teams and District Coaches of the Year, with California Baptist University men's basketball star guard Dominique Daniels Jr. earning a spot on the All-Pacifc Region Second Team for the second time.
The All-District honors are voted on by NABC-member coaches across NCAA Division I. The NABC introduced a new model for its Division I district alignment this season, with schools arranged by state rather than by conference. The modernized NABC Division I district alignment features 10 geographic regions that each encompass multiple states. Every Division I school in each given state belongs to that state's corresponding district.
Daniels Jr. had a phenomenal season for the Lancers in his second season in Riverside, leading the Western Athletic Conference in scoring at nearly 20 points per contest and helping CBU to its highest seed in the WAC Tournament in program history with a third-place finish. Daniels Jr. scored a season-high 36 points in the Lancers Homecoming win over Utah Tech on Saturday for his second 30+ point performance of the season and was promptly named First Team All-WAC. He surpassed the 20-point barrier in 12 of the 28 games this season and has scored in double figures in all but one game this season.
The Pacific Region was one of the most loaded in the country, featuring six NCAA Tournament teams, including Oregon, Gonzaga, Saint Mary's, UCLA, UCSD, and San Diego State.
