Two Lancers Earn Preseason All-WAC Honors

ARLINGTON, Texas --- With the dawn of a new season under a week away, the Western Athletic Conference (WAC) has revealed its selections for the 2025 Preseason All-WAC Team. Following a vote from WAC head coaches, Lancers Blake D'Agostino and Stavros Charalampous have earned selections to the preseason all-conference team.
D'Agostino enters his sophomore campaign following a selection to the WAC All-Freshman team in his debut season. As a freshman, D'Agostino led the Lancers with six goals, three coming in conference action. His goal against Utah Tech was the winning tally for CBU in a 1-0 finish to advance in the WAC Tournament.
Charalampous adds a second preseason honor in 2025, as the All-WAC selection follows a placement on the United Soccer Coaches Players to Watch list. The junior midfielder was a First Team All-WAC selection in 2024 after starting all 19 matches for the Lancers. Charalampous accumulated over 1500 minutes in 2024 with one goal and one assist.
Friday's announcement from the WAC also included the 2025 WAC Men's Soccer Preseason Coaches Poll. CBU was voted second with 39 points, finishing five points behind San Diego State. The Lancers received three first-place votes.
San Jose State's Angel Iniguez was voted the WAC Preseason Offensive Player of the Year. Ciancole Nguepissi of San Diego State was voted WAC Preseason Defensive Player of the Year, and Utah Tech's Stock Short was named WAC Preseason Goalkeeper of the Year.
