Rodionoff Invitational
CBU will return to the Rodionoff Invitational for the first time since the 2024-25 season after not competing in the meet last year.
The Lancers had several notable individual performances at the 2024-25 invitational. Then-sophomore Kai Flanagan finished fourth in the 1,000-yard freestyle, while then-freshman Isabella Aiello earned a runner-up finish in the 100-yard butterfly.
Hear from the Head Coach
"We are really excited for the meet this weekend," said head coach Jim Bossert. "We have never competed at this particular meet to start our season before. We normally begin our season at the MPSF Open Water Championships, so we are excited to take the team to Pepperdine and Malibu and enjoy some cooler weather as we get the season underway."
Team Analysis
The Lancers enter the new season with senior Ambrin Pienaar and junior Avery Easterling leading the way as team captains. Both swimmers were key contributors for CBU last season and will look to help guide the team into its first season of Pac-12 competition.
Easterling is coming off a strong conference championship performance in the MPSF, earning two All-MPSF finishes in the 200-yard freestyle and 200-yard butterfly.
Junior Sara Svorcan will also look to build on a successful sophomore season. Svorcan earned two All-MPSF honors last season after finishing fourth in both the 50-yard freestyle and 100-yard butterfly.
CBU will also welcome a large group of newcomers, with 14 new swimmers joining the roster. The group includes 12 freshmen and two transfers in sophomores Angelic Benitez and Landrey Gold, who join the Lancers from Azusa Pacific and Iowa State, respectively.
Among the freshmen, Faith Fasani will look to make an immediate impact in her first season with CBU. Fasani enters the season after a strong offseason that included an MVP performance at the Blue-Gold Meet, where she won multiple races and put together several impressive performances.
With a mix of experienced returners and a talented group of newcomers, the Lancers will look to begin their first Pac-12 season on a strong note at the Rodionoff Invitational.
Live updates from the meet will be available throughout the weekend on CBU women's swimming social media channels.
