Men’s Soccer Announces Schedule Ahead of First Pac-12 Season

RIVERSIDE --- The final regular season champions of the Western Athletic Conference (WAC) are set to begin a new era in 2026, as the Lancers transition into the Pac-12 Conference. Head coach Coe Michaelson enters his 11th season leading the Lancers, and after conference championships in three of the last four seasons, the Lancers will be primed to once again make noise in 2026.
Michaelson comes into the year on the brink of a career milestone. CBU's gaffer needs just two wins to reach 100 with the Lancers, as Michaelson features a record of 98-60-25 during his time in Riverside.
The first opportunity to hit that milestone could come in North Carolina, as the Lancers will open the 2026 season with back-to-back matches in the Tar Heel State. First is a meeting with Campbell on August 20. The Lancers will then return to the pitch on August 23 when they battle the Blue Devils of Duke.
CBU makes its home debut on the final day of August when Denver comes to Riverside. What follows is a visit from San Diego on September 5 for Welcome Weekend, as the brewing Southern California rivalry continues on one of the most anticipated nights of the fall at CBU. The Lancers and Toreros will be meeting for the seventh consecutive season, including a 2023 postseason matchup that saw the Lancers defeat USD. San Diego defeated the Lancers, 3-2, in their 2025 match at Torero Stadium.
CBU will play back-to-back road matches on September 11 and 16 when they visit LMU and Grand Canyon. The Lancers will then wrap up the non-conference slate with a home match against Pacific on September 20, followed by a crossover match with the Big West, as the Lancers visit UC Irvine on October 24.
The Pac-12 season will begin on September 24 when the Lancers travel to the Pacific Northwest to take on Gonzaga. CBU then visits Cal Poly in San Luis Obispo on October 4. The Lancers will host their first Pac-12 match on October 7 when Oregon State visits Riverside. Three days later, the Lancers will welcome UC Riverside to the CBU Soccer Stadium for the first conference Crosstown Showdown in program history.
Oregon State's visit to Riverside has been selected to air nationally on ESPNU.
CBU will continue the season on October 14 with a visit to Cal State Fullerton, then return home to play San Diego State on October 17. The final road trip of the regular season takes the Lancers to UC Santa Barbara on October 21 and UC San Diego on October 24. The regular season will then conclude with Senior Night on October 31 when the Lancers host UC Irvine.
The 2026 Pac-12 Tournament will begin on November 7, as the top four teams at the end of the regular season advance to the postseason. The highest two seeds will host semifinal matches. The championship match is scheduled for either November 13 or 14, with the highest seed again hosting.
All home matches in the 2026 season will be streamed live on ESPN+. Tickets, including single-game and season ticket packages, will be on sale HERE.
