Men’s Basketball Announces Non-Conference Schedule

RIVERSIDE --- Entering their first season under coach Kyle Getter, California Baptist men's basketball has announced the non-conference slate of games for the 2026-27 season. Featuring ten games to prep the Lancers for the Big West, the Getter era of CBU basketball officially gets underway on November 3.
Getter was announced as the second head coach in CBU's Division I era back in April. The first-year head coach made the move to Riverside after serving as the Associate Head Coach at Notre Dame. Getter's resume also includes stops with Virginia and VCU, where he reached the Final Four with both programs, including a national championship with the Cavaliers in 2019.
The Lancers will tip off the season inside the Dale E. and Sarah Ann Fowler Events Center on November 3 when North Florida visits Riverside. This will be the first-ever meeting between the two programs. CBU enters the season winners of 19 in a row at home, dating back to the 2024-25 season. That streak is the fifth-longest active home win streak in Division I.
CBU continues the season on November 6 with a trip to Corvallis for the second season in a row. The Lancers topped Oregon State in their meeting last season. That one-game road trip will be followed by three straight at home as the Lancers welcome Chicago State (Nov. 11), Arkansas – Pine Bluff (Nov. 13), and Seattle (Nov. 17) to the Fowler Events Center.
The Lancers keep the non-conference slate rolling on November 21 and 22, as the Lancers return to Palm Springs for the Acrisure Series. CBU will play twice inside the Acrisure Arena, first against LMU and then against Portland the following day. Both days will be 4 p.m. tips. Tickets and broadcast information for the Acrisure Series have not been announced.
Non-conference action continues with three road games in December, starting on December 9 when the Lancers visit Utah in Salt Lake. CBU lost to the Utes in their meeting last season. The Lancers then travel to Northern California on December 14 to play UC Davis.
The non-conference schedule wraps up the week of Christmas when the Lancers travel to Indiana to play the Purdue Boilermakers on December 21.
