Men’s Basketball Announces Inaugural Big West Schedule

RIVERSIDE --- Led by first-year head coach Kyle Getter, the Lancers are entering a new era in the 2026-27 season, as CBU embarks on its first run through the Big West. Coming off the first WAC Championship and March Madness berth in program history a season ago, the Lancers will look to carry that momentum into this new era and make a name for themselves in year one.
The conference schedule will feature 22 games, evenly split between 11 on the road and 11 inside the Dale E. and Sarah Ann Fowler Events Center. Home games have been kind to the Lancers in recent years as CBU enters the season with 19 consecutive wins inside the Fowler Events Center, the fifth-longest active streak in Division I.
Conference action will get an early start as the Lancers play a pair of games in early December. CBU opens its Big West era on December 3 with a trip to UC San Diego, and then two days later, the Lancers visit UC Riverside for the first conference Crosstown Showdown in program history. The two opening games will be doubleheaders, with CBU Women's Basketball also being in action to start the game.
After a few weeks away from the Big West, the conference schedule resumes on New Year's Eve when UC Santa Barbara visits for the Fowler Events Center for the first home Big West game in CBU history. Cal Poly will make their visit to the Fowler Events Center two days later, on January 2.
CBU's longest homestand of the conference schedule will be four games, starting on January 28 when Long Beach State visits Riverside. The homestand continues with visits from Cal State Fullerton (Jan. 30) and Sacramento State (Feb. 4), before wrapping up with Utah Valley on February 6.
UC Riverside will make its first conference visit to the Fowler Events Center on February 20 as the Lancers host the Highlanders for Homecoming. The night will kick off with the women's basketball game at 5 p.m., followed by the men's game at 7:30 p.m.
The final home game of the conference schedule will be on February 27 when CSUN comes to Riverside for Senior Night. The conference schedule then takes the Lancers on the road for the final two games of the regular season as CBU visits Fullerton and Long Beach.

The 2026-27 Big West Conference Tournament is slated to begin on March 10 from the Lee's Family Forum in Henderson, NV. The tournament will run through March 13, with the winner claiming the Big West's automatic bid into the NCAA Tournament.
