
CBU Lands Three Golfers on the WGCA Scholar All-American List

FRISCO, TX--- The Women's Golf Coaches Association released its 2025-26 Scholar All-American list on Monday afternoon, with three California Baptist University golfers earning honors on the prestigious list.
CBU's honorees were Samantha Dizon, Lisa Shimmon, and Triyakul Kornchanok. The requirements for the award include:
- Have an overall cumulative grade point average of 3.50 or higher (on a 4.00 scale) for the entirety of their collegiate career.
- If a student-athlete is a transfer student, the cumulative GPA must include both the GPA from the previous institution and the GPA from the current institution.
- If a student-athlete is a graduate student, the cumulative GPA must include both the undergraduate GPA and the graduate GPA.
- Must be an amateur and on the team's roster through the conclusion of the team's season. Student-athletes of all class standings are eligible.
- Be of high moral character and in good standing at the college, making the nomination. The Head Golf Coach, Athletic Director, or the Faculty Athletic Representative must certify the accuracy of the information on the nomination form.
- The student athlete must have played in 50% of the college's regularly scheduled competitive rounds during the year nominated. Rounds as an individual count toward this minimum, as do conference championships. Postseason rounds are not included.
Shimmon made the list for the second consecutive year, while Dizon finishes her illustrious CBU career having made the list all four seasons she was in Riverside.
