2005: Nickerson, a 2005 freshman, should be a force at middle blocker in the future for the Lancers.
COACH McGUYRE SAYS: "Scott is a young, developing player who has a great work ethic. He already understands the game but he just needs more reps. He has the tools to do well. He can make a big block and he has a heavy arm. He’ll take it out on our opponents, and he’ll make our first team stronger in practice.
HIGH SCHOOL: Graduated from Orange (Calif.) Lutheran High School in 2004 ... Played three years of varsity volleyball ... Named Empire League MVP and All-CIF first team as a 2004 senior ... Made All-League second team as a sophomore and junior ... Named team MVP as a senior and was named team’s best blocker three times ... Team won two league titles and was the CIF Division III runner-up in 2004.
CLUB: Played with Saddleback Valley Volleyball Club ... Competed at the Junior Olympics.
