Won 800-yard freestyle relay WAC Championship in CBU-record time (7:20.58)... Secured all-conference finishes in 1650 free (second, 16:54.23) and 200 free (third, 1:49.27)... Also finished eighth in 500 free (4:58.46) at WAC Meet... Set top-10 times in CBU history in 400 IM (eighth, 4:25.15) and 200 IM (ninth, 2:04.50)... Named WAC Swimmer of the Week on Dec. 26... Won 1650 free (16:49.61) and had three runner-up finishes in 200 free (1:50.08), 500 free (4:54.15) and 400 IM (4:25.15) at UNLV Invite... Placed first in 500 free (5:03.69) and second in 200 free (1:55.20) at Pepperdine Malibu Invite... Won 200 free (1:49.73) and 500 free (4:53.95) in UC San Diego dual and 200 free (1:55.97) and 500 free (5:11.56) versus Claremont-Mudd-Scripps... Claimed victories in 400 IM (4:35.22) versus Wyoming and 500 free (4:53.68) against Grand Canyon... Named WAC All-Academic.

Named WAC Freshman of the Year after winning two events, the 200 (1:48.28) and 500 freestyles (4:49.27), at the conference championships... Earned CSCAA National Invitational Championship All-American honors in the 400-free relay (seventh, 3:22.97) and honorable mention accolades in the 1,000 (12th, 10:13.81) and 1,650 frees )16:53.23)...Set the school record in the 200 free 400-free relay (3:22.20) at the WAC Meet... Notched two other All-WAC finishes in the 400-free relay and 1650 free (16:47.31) and also took sixth in the 800-free relay (7:29.70) in conference... Also holds places on the school top-10 list in the 500 free (second, 4:49.27); 1,000 free (third, 10:05.65); 1,650 free (third, 16:43.17) and 100 free (fifth, 50.90)... Voted WAC Swimmer of the Week on Nov. 20th.

Born and raised in San Luis Potosí, Mexico... Daughter of Alicia Cárdenas Castillo and Raúl Oviedo Barrera... Has one sibling Melissa Oviedo Cárdenas... Her sister, Melissa, competes in Tae Kwon Do and represents Mexico team in international events... Loves traveling, hanging out with friends, meeting new people, going on adventures, watching movies and TV series, listening to music and reading... Wants to use her experience at CBU to help her become a professional who exudes pride, ethics and makes a better a life for herself.
