Kristen Fritsche joined Branden Higa's staff in the spring of 2024 after spending two seasons as a graduate assistant with Stephen F. Austin.
Before joining SFA as a grad assistant, Fritsche played four season at UTEP as a setter, where she ranked second in Conference USA in service aces with 37. She helped the Miners reach the National Invitational Volleyball Championship in 2021 as a senior and was named to the Academic Honor Roll from 2019-2021.
Coach Fritsche received the American Volleyball Coaches Association Coaches 4 Coaches Scholarship in the Fall of 2022 and attended the AVCA Convention held at the Final Four in Omaha, Nebraska.
Coach Fritsche received a Master of Arts in Mass Communications from SFA and her Bachelors of Science in Health Promotion with a minor in Nutrition from the University of Texas at El Paso.
