Aaron Seuss
- Induction:
- 2015
- Class:
- 2007
Aaron Seuss, who was with CBU through 2007, became the first NAIA All-American first-teamer in CBU baseball, and earned the award twice in 2006 and 2007. He earned first-team All-Region/District and All-GSAC accolades all three years of his career, with a Conference Player of the Year award on his resume from 2006, as well.
About eight years later, Seuss still is the Lancers' career leader in home runs, runs batted in and total bases – all in just three years with the team after he was taken in the 27th round of the 2007 MLB Draft by the Washington Nationals. He smashed 51 homers, drove in 186 runs and rounded 404 total bases to capture those records. His 51 homers are nine more than what anyone else has hit in their CBU career. He also ranks sixth in hits (212) and runs (151), seventh in hit by pitches (32) and at-bats (613) in the Lancers' career records.
Seuss' junior campaign was one for the ages. His 21 home runs in 2006 are tied for a single-season record. His 169 total bases and 87 RBI that season still rank him second in single-season history. He also ranks fourth in hits (90), fifth in slugging percentage (.758), sixth in runs scored (64), seventh in at-bats (223) and ninth in batting average (.404) in CBU single-season history from 2006.
