SANTA BARBARA, Calif. --- Thirteen of 15 Lancers saw court time, as the NAIA's 2-time defending champion and No 4-ranked California Baptist swept Westmont, 30-23, 30-17, 30-27, in one final GSAC tuneup.
The Lancers (26-6, 16-4) finish at third in the conference for the second time in 3 seasons. California Baptist will host No. 16 Point Loma Nazarene in the opening round of the NAIA Region II Playoffs this coming Tuesday at 7 p.m.
The loss ends Westmont's season at 7-17, 5-15.
Verania Willis posted 14 kills on 29 swings for a .345 percentage, while Angela Willis and Lindsey Siefken each chipped in with 8 kills. Angela Willis led the field with 5 blocks as California out-blocked the Warriors by a 6-3 margin.
