RIVERSIDE, Calif. --- The NAIA's No. 2-ranked Azusa Pacific, which is gunning for its sixth straight Golden State Athletic Conference title, got its quest started on the right foot with a 9-0 sweep of No. 21 California Baptist in both team's GSAC opener Saturday afternoon in Riverside.

With the loss, the Lancers fall to 1-4 overall, 0-1 GSAC. Meanwhile, the Cougars, who have played in 4 straight NAIA championship matches, improve to 6-1, 1-1.
