EL CAJON, Calif. ? Get in, get the job done, and get out is exactly what California Baptist did Saturday against San Diego Christian with a 3-0 (30-16, 30-28, 30-18) win that took just one hour and 15 minutes. The Lancers (14-2, 7-1 GSAC) spread the wealth having eight players with at least one kill. The Hawks (5-13, 0-8 GSAC) did not have one person in double figure kills.
Verania Willis had a game-high 13 kills and 11 digs for her fourth straight double-double. Kayla Van Duyn, Caitlin Parker and Courtney McGuire split setting duties as Van Duyn had 17 assists while Parker and McGuire had 12 each. Shi Fei and Lauren Briley both had 10 digs.
The Lancers hit .419 in the first game with 21 kills and then took advantage of the Hawks in the second and third games to close out the match.
CBU returns to action Tuesday when it travels to Vanguard to take on the 16th-ranked Lions at 7 p.m.
