RIVERSIDE, Calif. ? Brittany Baurer scored six goals for California Baptist in a 15-2 win over Wheaton (Ill.), Tuesday at the Lancer Aquatics center.
The Lancers (19-5) have won 15 straight games including 10 straight at home.
Bauer scored a hat trick in the third quarter alone and also scored three goals with one each in the first, second and fourth quarters.
Chelsea Gentry scored a hat trick in the first half with one in the first and two in the second. Jennifer Binggeli scored a pair of goals in the third quarter alone while Angie Rodriguez, Viki Pais, Kylie Chevalier and Sarah Hunter also scored solo goals.
Kayla Lind had five saves while Kristen Post as four as both split time in the cage.
The Lancers scored the first three goals of the game in less than four minutes and then added four more in the second to take a 7-2 halftime lead.
CBU held the Thunder scoreless in the second half while scoring eight goals. The Lancers scored seven in the third quarter alone. It was the fourth time this year CBU blanked an opponent for an entire half.
The Lancers will now make a trip to Hawaii to take on No. 5 Hawaii, Saturday, and No. 14 Cal State Northridge, Sunday, with both games starting at 2 p.m.
