LANCERS WIN DUAL

RIVERSIDE, Calif. --- All-American Malin Thorberg fired a 70 to lead the NAIA's No. 4-ranked California Baptist University to a 306-361 win over NCAA Division III Claremont-McKenna in a dual match Friday afternoon.
It is the Lancers' only dual match of the season.
Thorberg led a trio of Lancers who posted rounds under 80. In fact, all six Lancers scored better than the Athenas' Brittany Isobe, who shot a team-best 87.
Adriana Niclotti finished with a 75, and Jessica Williams chipped in with a 79. Samantha Katz tallied an 82, and Shauna Curtis and Jaymee Braun both tallied 84.
Isobe was the lone Athena to shoot better than 90.
“The girls played really well in tough conditions,” said CBU Head Coach Lane Pace. “The cold and high winds made the course really tough. They have worked real hard since the UCR tournament, and it showed in the scores today.”
