WRESTLING SCHEDULE ANNOUNCED

Riverside, Calif.--- California Baptist University Head Wrestling Coach Lennie Zalesky released the schedule this week for the 2011-12 season.
The Lancers will start the season in Riverside with an intrasquad meet (Oct. 29) starting at 6 p.m. in the Van Dyne Gym. Shortly after the Lancers will be on the road attending the Bakersfield Open, Central Baptist Invite, Menlo Invite and ending the road-trips at the Las Vegas Invite (Dec. 2-3).
CBU will host San Francisco State on Dec. 10 at 7 p.m. Central Florida will also be hosted by the Lancers on Dec. 16 in the Van Dyne Gym.
Starting the new year in 2012, the Lancers will be on the road facing Grand Canyon in Duals, followed by back-to-back days against Embry-Riddle in a Dual (Jan. 13) and an Open (Jan. 14).
The Lancers will end the season hosting Embry-Riddle and then traveling to San Francisco to compete against San Francisco State (Feb. 3) and in the California Collegiate Open (Feb. 4). The Lancers will host the NCWA Conference Championships on (Feb. 24) and then travel to Macon, Ga., to compete in the NCWA National Championships (Mar. 8-10).
Last season, the Lancers had nine All-Americans in the National Tournament and eight champions in the Western Conference finals. They finished 10-9-1 in dual meets on the season and defeated NCAA Division II San Francisco State. The team's only tie came from NCAA Division I Stanford.
