The win moves the Lancers to 15-2 overall, 8-0 PacWest, while Chaminade drops to 6-12, 3-7.
"The girls did a good job closing this one out," said CBU Head Coach Branden Higa. "We played well in stretches early and then put it together at the end. This is what we wanted to do, especially going into a big matchup tomorrow."
Despite jumping out to a 7-2 lead in the first set, CBU needed a late charge to close out the game, scoring five of the last seven points.
After a long rally, Ingrid Carmona put the Lancers up 1-0 ending the set with a kill to the back of the court. Carmona led the team in the opening game with six kills.
It looked like more of the same in the second as CBU jumped ahead 7-3 and the Silverswords immediately battled back.
A dominating 7-1 run late sealed the deal for the Lancers, however. Malika O'Brien got a kill and assisted on two big blocks during the run, and Kim McCalmont laced a kill and went up for a solo block.
The final game was close for the first eight points, as the Silverswords came out firing in an attempt to avoid the sweep.
After playing to a 4-4 tie, however, it was all CBU.
The Lancers subsequently fired off a 6-1 run and outscored the Silverswords 21-9 overall to finish the match.
Carmona finished the match with her 11th double-double of the season, posting 15 kills and 12 digs. O'Brien hit .375 on the match for eight kills and also had six blocks. Faith Steinwedell added five kills and four blocks. Megan Glennie led all players with 14 digs.
"Ingrid had another great match especially defensively," said Higa. "I also thought Malika was solid for us. She and Faith controlled the net and I thought that was a big key tonight."
The Lancers stay in the islands, taking on No. 10 BYU-Hawaii Saturday night in a battle of two unbeaten PacWest teams.
"This is the showdown that we have been wanting between two undefeated conference teams," said Higa. "We've made it this far, now it's time to execute our gameplan. They're a good team and we're looking forward to the challenge."
