11 Lancers Named Easton All-America Scholar-Athletes

RIVERSIDE, Calif. — Eleven California Baptist University softball players were named to the Easton/National Fastpitch Coaches Association All-America Scholar-Athlete list for their performance on the field and in the classroom.
Deanna Alarcon, Hannah Thieroff and Soraya Shahbazian all received the award for the second time, and were joined by first-time recipients Amanda Argomaniz, Alyssa Beck, Giana Lopez, Mackenzie Budinger, Molly Kolander, Sophia Perea, Lexi Quartaro and Makenna Stram.
In order to receive the honor, student-athletes must have posted a 3.5 grade-point average (GPA) or greater during the 2018 fall and 2019 spring semesters.
Additionally, the cumulative team GPA of 3.230 earned the Lancers the distinction of landing on the Easton/NFCA Division I Team GPA List. California Baptist will enter its second year in NCAA Division I and the Western Athletic Conference in 2020.
