Lancers in Second After First Round

HOT SPRINGS VILLAGE --- California Baptist University had all five players in the 70's on Sunday, as the Lancers finished the first round of the Little Rock Golf Classic in second.
CBU posted a 5-over-par 293 to finish two strokes behind the day one leader. Western Kentucky holds the top spot with a 3-over-par 291, while Bradley is in third with a 7-over-par 295.
Jocelyn Chee finished her 18 holes leading the Lancers with a 1-under-par 71. Chee is currently tied for third after carding four birdies and three bogeys on the day. She was able to birdie holes one and three and responded with two birdies on the back nine after two early bogeys.
Kristyna Abrahamova and Sofia Chabon both finished inside the top-20. Abrahamova finished T-11th with a 1-over-par 73, while Chabon shot a 2-over-par 74 to take T-18th.
Belle Balkan is T-31st with a 3-over-par 75 and Samantha Martirez rounded out the Lancers roster with a 4-over-par 76.
Mary Joiner of Western Kentucky leads the field of 90 golfers with a 3-under-par 69.
The three day tournament is being hosted by Little Rock on the Diamante Country Club. The course is playing as a par 72 at 6,088 yards.
The Lancers will tee off at 8:30 a.m. Pacific Time for the second round of the Little Rock Golf Classic on Monday, Oct. 28.
