RESULTS

RIVERSIDE, Calif. – Two California Baptist University runners placed in the top 10 of the 1,500 meter at the UC Riverside Spring Classic Invitational on Saturday afternoon.

McMarshall Hartzenburg placed a team-best fifth with a time of three minutes, 59.47 seconds in the 27-runner field. Koby Ghadery joined him in the top-10 when he took ninth in 4:03.95.

Mason Dowell and Hector Peralta added two more top-20 runs for the Lancers. Dowell crossed the line in the 18 spot with a time of 4:08.83, while Peralta was next on his tail in 19th (4:11.30). Dowell set a new personal best to break his previous record of 4:13.84 at the RCC Invitational.

William Ernst (22^nd, 4:17.03); Adriel Barajas (24^th, 4:19.35) and Jonah Ross (27^th, 4:29.77) wrapped up the day for CBU.

The Lancers will have a split team on Thursday and Friday with competition at the two-day San Francisco State Distance Carnival on March 28-29 and the one-day Stanford Invite on the 29^th.
