Lancers Kick Start Busy Weekend

RESULTS
HAYWARD, Calif. – Two personal bests and a new school record were set by California Baptist University on day one of San Francisco State's Mike Fanelli Track Classic.
Anna Mate set a new individual best and Lancer record in the 10,000-meter when she took third place in 35 minutes, 2.21 seconds. Mate crushed previous CBU record of 35:37.28 set by Kate Robinson back in 2017 to kick start a busy weekend for the Lancers, who are running a split squad at San Francisco State and the Stanford Invite on Friday.

Karolina Iznerowicz produced a PR time of 35:49.84 in the 10K that was good for 12th place. It was also the fourth fastest time in CBU history.
In the steeplechase, Linda Palumbo also clocked a top-four time in the school's record book. The freshman took 14th place overall and third in her section in 10:46.41.
