
28 Lancers Earn Academic All-WAC in Winter

RIVERSIDE, Calif. – A total of 28 California Baptist University student-athletes earned Academic All-Western Athletic Conference honors when the league released its distinguished list of winter 2018-19 recipients on Wednesday morning.
It was a high bar to make the grade for Academic All-WAC. To be eligible for the honor, a student-athlete must have completed at least one academic year at CBU, have at least a 3.2 cumulative grade-point average and have participated in at least 50 percent of the team's contests.
Twenty-one of the Lancers' swimmers and divers reached Academic All-WAC status, while five women's basketball players and two men's basketball players qualified for the awards, as well.
Colton Babcock, Josh Fluetsch, Sean Foster, Zane Freeman, Jerome Heidrich, Sakeri Holter, Jacob Leahy, Ryan Schade, Brandon Schuster and Tanner Shore were the selections from men's swimming and diving, while women's swim/dive was represented by Emily Dunkerson, Morgan Giordano, Janae Jizmejian, Andrea Laliena, Emily Longfellow, Kylie Morrison, Grace Oeser, Hannah Parson, Isabella Rhodes, Savannah Uhlir and Jenna Washburn.
Maryn Budiman, Georgia Dale, Emma Meriggioli, Ane Olaeta and Lexy Ram were all named Academic All-WAC. Men's basketball's Jordan Heading and Mike Henn were honored.
