RESULTS
AZUSA, Calif. – California Baptist University competed in men's 800 meter and women's 1,500 meter events on Friday night at the Azusa Pacific Bryan Clay Invitational, with a pair of Lancers just missing out on top-five times in the Lancer record books.
Natalia Novak took on the 1,500 meter open, crossing the finish line in four minutes, 34.96 seconds to set a new personal best and take 14th place, while missing out on the school top-five list by less than five seconds.
Mike Alukunyang represented the Lancer men, running the 800 meter in 1:54.77 to place 105th in a field of over 150 runners. Alukunyang missed out on a top-five school time by less than three seconds.
CBU returns to competition for the Steve Scott Invitational, hosted by UC Irvine, on April 26-27.
