CBU Kicks Off Steve Scott Invitational

IRVINE, Calif. – Three top-10 finishes highlighted the first day of the Steve Scott Invitational for California Baptist University on Friday at UC Irvine.
Linda Palumbo started the night for the Lancers and finished third, with a new personal best time of 10 minutes, 41.88 seconds in the steeplechase.
In the 5K, it was McMarshall Hartzenberg and Hector Peralta representing CBU. Hartzenburg took eighth place in 14:44.33. Peralta finished in 15:50.60 to take the 44th spot.
Maria Paula Guerrero grabbed the eighth spot in her 5,000 in 18:04.28 to wrap up the evening for the Lancers.
CBU returns to the Steve Scott Invitational on Saturday to run the 800 meter and 1,500.
