
Lancers Set for International Competition

RIVERSIDE, Calif. – California Baptist University will be represented on the world stage this summer, with nine Lancers set to compete for their home countries in a number of international events this July.
Five Lancers will run in the European U-23 Championships, as Ivo Balabanov (Bulgaria), Elin Brink (Sweden), Andrea Kolbeinsdottir (Iceland), Anna Mate (Hungary), and Arturs Medveds (Latvia) will all hit the track in Gavle, Sweden from Thursday to Sunday.
There are four more Lancers who will be competing at the European U-20 Championships in Boras, Sweden on July 18-21. Wiktoria Klebowska (Poland), Emilie Renaud (France), and Giedrius Valencius (Lithuania) will take on the steeplechase, and Marta Afonso (Portugal) will either compete in the 5K.
