SEATTLE --- California Baptist University concluded its season with a hard-fought 0-0 double-overtime draw against Seattle U on Saturday.
It marked the third straight road game for the Lancers, as they finish the season at 6-8-3 and 4-4-2 in the Western Athletic Conference. The Lancers currently sit in third in the West Division standings, and an NM State loss to Dixie State would keep the Lancers in that sole possession of third. Seattle U ends its season in last place in the West Division with a 1-6-3 record in conference play.
Both teams battled hard for the entire 110 minutes of play, as the Lancers ended the game outshooting the Redhawks, 11-10.
Karley Weeks paced the Lancers on the offensive side of the ball with a team-high three shots, while Amy Aquino recorded two. Morgan Witz, Cora Jacoby, Jayden Ramirez, Erin Gallagher, Devyn Kelsey, and Lauryn White all recorded one shot each.
Romy Salvador was crucial for the Lancers between the sticks, recording four saves on the day, two of which came in the two extra-time periods.
