The 19th-ranked Lancers defeated Westcliff 17-6 and Fresno Pacific 24-12 to improve to 9-1 over their last nine games this season. It brings CBU's record to 11-9 this year, while Westcliff falls to 4-14 and FPU drops to 5-12.
Lowery made more history for the second day in a row, as he dropped seven assists on the Sunbirds to tie CBU's single-game record (first set by Christian Britton in 2019). It also tied the Lancers' single-game assists record as a team, as they had 23 in the game.

McDonough's historic scoring streak continued without a problem, as well. The senior two-meter defender scored five goals on the day, with two on Westcliff and a hat trick versus the Sunbirds. He's now scored in all 20 games this season.
It was Joseph Griffin who led the Lancers with six goals on the day and hat tricks in both games.

California Baptist's homestand wraps up with two more Lancer Joust games on Saturday. The Lancers will face eighth-ranked Pepperdine at 10 a.m. and Crafton Hills at 5:30 p.m.
ON THE RECORD
Lowery also holds the Lancers' career records in games with a goal, assist and steal (52) and multi-assist games (56), which he first set against UC Davis on Friday. The senior attacker and 2020-21 All-WWPA First Teamer is on the verge of setting another CBU record, as he ranks second in CBU history with 185 career assists – just two off the all-time record currently held by Chris Morgan's (187). Lowery also ranks fifth in career steals (144), fourth in multi-steal games (38) and 19th in career goals (139) and multi-goal games (35).
ON A RUN
McDonough's goal streak is tied for the 10th-longest streak in CBU history. His scoring streak actually goes back to 35 games overall, as he scored in all 12 games in the 2020-21 campaign and the final three games of 2019. McDonough earned All-WWPA First Team honors and NCAA Division I Second Team distinction last season, which made him the first Lancer to earn First or Second Team All-American status in Division I.
Aaron Steiger holds the record for CBU's longest single-season scoring streak at 38 games back in 2010. Logan Mena's 24-game run in 2018 ranks second, just in front of Goran Milic's 23 consecutive games in 2004.
