Fisher Named TicketSmarter WAC Golfer of the Week

DENVER --- California Baptist University's Ryan Fisher has been named this week's TicketSmarter Western Athletic Conference Men's Golfer of the Week after leading the Lancers to a third-place finish at the UC Santa Barbara Invitational.
Fisher, a freshman from Corona, California, becomes the first men's golfer to earn the conference award on the season. He shot a 3-under-par 213 score to take solo sixth out of 57 golfers to record the Lancers' highest finish. It marked a new career low at a 54-hole event and the highest finish of his young career. After shooting an opening-round 72, he signed a 3-under-par 69 in the second round to jump up the leaderboard. An even-par 72 in the third round cemented him in the top-10.
The Lancers produced their highest finish on the season, shooting an even-par 864 team score to take third out of 10 teams.
CBU will finish its season at the WAC Championships on April 30 – May 2 in Henderson, Nevada, at Boulder Creek Golf Course.
