Abercrombie Named WAC Player of the Week

RIVERSIDE--- The Western Athletic Conference announced its weekly awards on Thursday afternoon and cited Jared Abercrombie as the Golfer of the Week after his tremendous week in San Diego. The award is the first of its kind for Abercrombie and for the Lancer men's golf program this season.
Abercrombie led the Lancers individually, finishing third of 104 golfers, as the program placed sixth of 17 programs after shooting 2-under as a team. He shot even par through the first 18 holes before the second round of the week saw Abercrombie take command of a top-three spot after shooting a 68, his lowest round of the weekend. He ended his incredible tournament with a 69 during the final frame for a third-place finish.
California Baptist will wrap up the regular season with a trip to the El Macero Invitational hosted by UC Davis during the second week of April.
