CBU Closes Out Bruno Classic with Two Ranked Games

CAMBRIDGE – California Baptist University women's water polo closed out the Bruno Classic with two ranked games on Saturday against No. 14 Wagner and No. 22 Harvard.
Kira O'Donell stayed hot with five goals on the day, but 24th-ranked Lancers fell to Wagner (13-4) and Harvard (13-5). CBU is now 3-7 after playing seven games against ranked opponents early on this season. Wagner improves to 8-2 and the Crimson moves to 3-1.
O'Donell recorded her fifth hat trick of the season versus Wagner and then scored two more goals on Harvard. Vicky Martinez also scored a pair versus the Crimson.
The Lancers have next week off from games and will return to action during the Redlands Tournament on Saturday, Feb. 19. CBU will get a rematch with Pomona-Pitzer and face the host Bulldogs at 2:30 p.m. and 5:30 p.m., respectively.
