Lancers Close Out William Jessup Invitational Perfect

ROCKLIN --- California Baptist University's STUNT team continued its undefeated season on Saturday, as the Lancers closed out the William Jessup Invitational with a 20-2 victory over Sacramento State.
The Lancers improve to 12-0 on the season and finish the William Jessup Invitational a perfect 3-0 after taking down Cal Poly, Saint Mary's (CA) and Sac State. The Lancers extend their winning streak to 27-straight wins since the program's inception.
During Friday's doubleheader, the Lancers were in true form, winning the first game over Cal Poly, 20-0. CBU followed that up with a perfect game against Saint Mary's in a 21-0 showing. It marks the third perfect game this season by the Lancers.
CBU jumped out to a 3-1 lead in the first quarter against the Hornets in Saturday's game. The Lancers then went into the break up 7-1. It was smooth sailing from there, as the Lancer closed out the game scoring a point in each round during the last two quarters.
The Lancers will return home on Wednesday, March 9, to take on Vanguard in the Van Dyne Gym at 7 p.m.
