
Men's Golf Announces 2022-23 Schedule

RIVERSIDE --- California Baptist University men's golf Head Coach TL Brown announced the team's 2022-23 schedule on Monday.
The schedule consists of 11 tournaments and seven different states, with events in Colorado, California, New Mexico, Arizona, Pennsylvania, Utah and Nevada.

The 2022-23 season marks the first year the Lancers will be eligible for NCAA Division I postseason play, as the NCAA Division I Board of Directors granted CBU full active status as a DI institution in August.
"The opportunity for postseason is a big one," said Brown. "It definitely is a new era for our program. Our schedule is a good mix of WAC opponents and mid major invitationals."CBU kicks off the fall schedule at the Gene Miranda Falcon Invitational on Sept. 9-11, hosted by Air Force at the Eisenhower Golf Course. The Lancers will then enjoy two tournaments in their home state of California at the Nick Watney Invitational on Sept. 26-27, followed by the Bill Cullum Invitational on Oct. 10-11.
The Lancers conclude their fall season at the Herb Wimberly Invitational on Oct. 17-18, hosted by NM State at the NM State Golf Course.
The New Year will open with UC Irvine's Orange County Collegiate at the Coto de Caza Golf & Racquet Club on Feb. 13-14
CBU will enjoy a week break before hosting The Joust at Goose Creek on Feb. 20-21. It marks the fourth year the Lancers will welcome teams across the country and region to their own backyard.
A two-day trip to Phoenix is next up for the Lancers, as they tee it up at the GCU Invitational on March 13-14. They will then come back for their final tournament in California at the Triton Invitational on March 27-28, as UC San Diego will play host on the legendary Torrey Pines North Course.
The Lancers will then make their furthest trip of the season to University Park, Pennsylvania, at the 46th Rutherford Intercollegiate hosted by Penn State on April 15-16. CBU will close out the regular season in Provo, Utah, as BYU will host the Cougar Classic at the Riverside Golf and Country Club on April 21-22.
The season ends with the Western Athletic Conference Championship at Boulder Creek Golf Club in Henderson, Nevada, on April 28-30. It marks the first season the Lances will be eligible to compete as a team and for a conference championship.
