
Dizon and Loh Finish Inside Top-10 After Day Two Of Johnie Imes Invitational

COLUMBIA --- California Baptist University concluded the second day of the Johnie Imes Invitational on Tuesday, as the Lancers finished sixth out of 15 teams.
The University of Missouri is hosting the three-day event at the Club at Old Hawthorne with 14 teams traveling in from across the country. Lipscomb took over the top spot during moving day with an even-par 288 to finish with a 4-over-par 580 team score. Missouri dropped a spot to second with an 8-over-par 294 team score, while NIU produced the day's best round with a 1-under-par 287 to take over third with a 14-over-par 590 team score.
FIU and Oral Roberts are tied for fourth with a 19-over-par 595 team score, as the Lancers sit three strokes back from cracking the top 4 in sixth with a 21-over-par 597 team score.
Freshman Samantha Dizon signed a new career low on the day, firing a 2-under-par 70 to move up 19 spots into a tie for eighth. Dizon is tied with teammate Hailey Loh at eighth with a 2-over-par 146 total.
Damini Law Ghanshyani also made a move up the leaderboard by 12 spots to place T-38th with a 2-over-par 74 on the day. Ghanshyani is currently holding a 9-over-par 153 total, while Sofia Chabon and Esther Lee finished with an 11-over-par 155 to place T-49th.
Sarah Bell of Oral Roberts claimed control of the top spot after shooting a 5-under-par 67 to hold a one-stroke advantage over the field.
The Lancers will close out the final round on Wednesday, Sept. 28, with a shotgun start at 6 a.m. (PST).
