AUSTIN - Senior goalkeeper Nolan Premack adds one final feather to his cap after a distinguished career at California Baptist University as he is named to the 2023 College Sports Communicators Academic All-America Team.
Premack was selected Second Team Academic All-America for Division I and is among 126 players earning the distinction from Division I, II, III, and NAIA. He is one of just 30 athletes to boast a perfect 4.0 GPA, and as a Pre-Med major, he is one of just eight focusing on a medically concentrated major.
Nolan is the first Lancer in program history to earn a spot on the Academic All-America list. While he was a no-doubter academically, he had to earn his spot athletically as well. Premack tallied six shutouts in 2023, bringing his career total to 13, which is by far the most in the Division I era for CBU. He also posted back-to-back-to-back seasons, allowing less than one goal per game at 0.95 over the course of three seasons and 0.99 in 2023.
To qualify for this award, the student-athletes must have at least a 3.50 cumulative grade point average (on a 4.0 scale) and must compete in 90 percent of the institution's games played OR must start in at least 66 percent of the games.
