Greta Karinauskaite Sets Program Record on Day 1 of Bryan Clay Invitational

AZUSA/WALNUT--- The California Baptist University track team finished day one of the Bryan Clay Invitational and Mt. Sac Relays with five top-10 times in program history.
Greta Karinauskaite set a new program record in the women's 3000m steeplechase with a time of 9:46.72. The impressive time topped her previous time of 9:51.43, which was the program record she set in 2022. Karinauskaite had the fourth-fastest time among 140 runners and only came behind New Mexico, Butler, and Washington runners. The runner from New Mexico set a new Bryan Clay Invitational record with a time of 9:40.98.
Emilia Mikszuta and Karin Gosek finished with top 10 times in program history in the 3000M steeplechase, notching times of 10:27.53 and 10:33.67, respectively. In the 10000M at Bryan Clay, Cynthia Martin set a new personal best time with 34:37.81, which doubled as the fifth-best time in CBU history in the event.
In the 10000M race at the Mt. Sac Relays, Silvia De La Pena finished with a time of 35:34.61 which put her in ninth in the CBU record books. On the men's side, Roman Zozulya finished sixth in his heat in the 10000M race with a time of 29:39.32.
