ROCKLIN, CA--- The Warriors Arena was the place to be on Saturday morning as the California Baptist Lancers traveled to Northern California for the William Jessup STUNT Tournament and came away with a pair of dominating wins. CBU improves to 11-0 on the season as they return to Southern California to continue their 2024 campaign on Tuesday evening.
"Today, our team emerged as a unified family, where every member played a crucial role," remarked Head Coach Brandon Seagondollar. "Senior Breanna Gonzalez led with unwavering determination and revealed her true confidence as she guided us forward. Freshman Maddison Arochi rose to the occasion as well, showcasing her potential and stepping up when we needed her most."
The day started strong for the Lancers as they faced the St. Mary's Gaels to open their morning. Michaela Grim earned her second Highest Rated Player nod this season after posting 34 points during the CBU's 18-0 win. Bailee Henry picked up the Stunter of the Game honor, while Karington Sebastian made her mark as the Tumbler of the Game. The match finished early after the mercy rule was applied for CBU's first win of the day and marked the Lancer's fourth shutout of the season.
During the second game of the day, the Lancers played the host school William Jessup University, and came away with another 24-1 win.
